Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. As a child, she was inspired by Boleros, classical music and the more traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other dramatic performances. Her mother taught her to sing, however she started intensive vocal training by Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera tenor. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. In 2000 she moved into America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She is currently performing traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. As a teacher and musician she has volunteered for many projects in the community because of her love and love for music. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to have the opportunity to bring to others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can help younger generations continue the tradition.
